As of November 2025, NVIDIA’s mobile GeForce RTX 4060 has once again overtaken the number one spot in Steam’s GPU stats after temporarily losing that spot in October to the RTX 3060. Meanwhile, NVIDIA continues to dominate in graphics processing units with AMD continuing its struggle to gain market share with dedicated graphics solutions.
Overview of GPU Rankings and Trends
The mobile GeForce RTX 4060 currently represents 4.44% of all users on Steam, a slight increase over the same time last month. The desktop RTX 3060 has fallen to the number two position representing 4.33% of all Steam users. The desktop RTX 4060 represents 4.15% of all Steam users, with the latest data confirming that the mobile RTX 4060 is regaining its previous spot.

Currently, AMD’s presence remains weak, with only a handful of integrated Radeon graphics solutions ranked among the top ten graphics cards; the fact that no dedicated AMD graphics card is represented is another challenge that continues to hamper AMD’s growth in the gaming market.
NVIDIA’s Growth with the Introduction of the RTX 50-Series
The introduction of NVIDIA’s RTX 50-series graphics cards continues to increase the share of NVIDIA products, with the desktop RTX 5070 representing 2.23% of all users on Steam, ranking it ahead of the RTX 4070 but still just outside of the top ten. Other cards that are part of the Ada-Next lineup, including the RTX 5060, 5060 Ti, and 5070 Ti, are also continuing to show good growth.

Memory Variance and Distribution of VRAM on GPUs.
GPUs that have 12GB of VRAM have increased their usage share from 13.76% to 19.22%, while 16GB of VRAM users increased their use from 6.29% to 8.13%, while GPUs that used to utilize 8GB of VRAM still hold the largest share of users, holding over 33.00% of their total shares; but as new hardware continues to be released, their market share decreases very slowly.

AMD Struggles
Among AMD’s discrete video graphic cards, the RX 6600 (0.89%) and RX 7800 XT (0.88%) still have the most amount of users, but are still far from being in the highest two ranked cards on Steam. The newest video cards from AMD, the Radeon RX 9000 Series, have not made any impressions or placed in any of Steam’s major listings for March 2023, so the use of the newer series is extremely limited.
Trends in Hardware and Operating System
AMD continues to build its CPU market share, which now represents 42.61% of all surveyed Steam Users; Intel has lost a little market share. Windows 11 continues to grow at a slow but steady pace and now has over 65% of the members of Steam, while Windows 10 continues to fall off in its Microsoft User base.
