Although CD Projekt Red previously announced the end of major work on Cyberpunk 2077 after the Phantom Liberty expansion, the company recently confirmed a significant new update — version 2.3.
The announcement came during a REDstreams broadcast dedicated to the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 release for Nintendo Switch 2. Community manager Alicja Kozera confirmed that Patch 2.3 is scheduled for release on June 26. For now, the update’s content remains under wraps, with full details expected closer to launch.
Company representative Marcin Momot added on X: “The last patch wasn’t the last one”, while game director Paweł Sasko mentioned that 2.3 has been developed quietly, and he’s personally overseeing the rollout.
Fans speculate the update may include more than just bug fixes. With hints of additional DLC, some are hoping for new side quests, cosmetic upgrades, customizable cyberware, new vehicles, or improved UI — though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
CD Projekt Red is slowly revealing that development on Cyberpunk 2077 continues. Further patch details will be unveiled in stages ahead of the launch.
