The developers of CS 2 have made changes to the competitive map pool ahead of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, removing Vertigo and replacing it with Train. This was announced via Valve’s official account on the social media platform X.
In their official statement, Valve succinctly noted:
“Good morning. BLAST.tv Austin Major:
+Train
-Vertigo”
The community’s reaction to this update has been largely positive. Former assistant coach of FURIA, Viacheslav “innersh1ne” Britvin, expressed his thoughts on social media, stating, “Vertigo, get [the hell] out of the map pool.” Additionally, Valve updated their profile header on X, humorously referencing the removed map.

The BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025 will take place from June 9 to 22 in the United States. The tournament’s prize pool is set at $1.25 million, with participation expanded to 32 top teams from the Valve rankings—an increase of eight compared to previous events. More details about the new tournament format can be found on our website.
