Aspyr has announced the release of the classic game Jedi Power Battles, originally launched in 2000 on PS1 and Dreamcast. The re-release is set for January 23, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and Steam, priced at $19.99 / £15.99.
The new version will feature 13 newly unlockable characters, including Rifle Droid, Staff Tusken Raider, Ishi Tib, and Weequay. All secret characters and levels will be available from the start, and the original’s couch co-op mode will also return.
Gameplay enhancements include updated character models and environments, smoother jumps, better balance, and new main menu art. The Versus and Training modes from the Dreamcast version will be included, along with a new lightsaber color toggle that allows players to correct the lightsaber colors of certain characters.
Jedi Power Battles will be the latest in a series of classic Star Wars games being re-released by Aspyr, following titles like Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Star Wars Republic Commando, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
