Firewalk Studios has announced that the servers for Concord will be shut down on September 6, 2024, less than two weeks after the game’s release. The developers have decided to close the servers and cease sales of Concord, which launched on August 23 for PC and PS5.
As a result, Firewalk Studios will begin processing refunds for purchasers on both platforms. Instructions for obtaining a refund have already been posted on the studio’s website.
Firewalk Studios has acknowledged that the launch of Concord did not meet expectations and was not as successful as planned. The studio stated that they will consider options for further support of the game, including a possible reboot or a transition to a free-to-play model, although no specific plans have been made yet.
Concord has faced low player interest, with a peak online count of 697 players on Steam, and only 30 players currently active in the PvP shooter. According to recent data, the total sales of the game are estimated at around 25,000 copies.
