Analyst Simon Carless has published a list of the 20 games that generated the highest revenue on Steam in the first six months of 2024. CS 2 took the top spot, earning an impressive $610 million.
Dota 2 also made the list, ranking seventh with $119 million in revenue. Notably, most of the games in the ranking are free-to-play service games, highlighting the popularity of the Free-to-Play model.
Helldivers 2 and Palworld secured second and third places, earning $458 million and $378 million respectively, while PUBG: Battlegrounds and Apex Legends rounded out the top five with revenues of $276 million and $159 million.
Other well-known titles like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Elden Ring also showed impressive results, earning $127 million and $100 million respectively, demonstrating the continued success of premium titles on the platform.
This list once again confirms Valve’s strong position in the market and showcases the diversity of successful projects, from AAA games to indie developments, within the Steam ecosystem.
