Valve has released a new update for CS 2. Described on the game’s official Steam page, the update includes a series of bug fixes. However, the main change focuses on improving replay viewing.

The list of changes includes:

  • The “in air” icon no longer appears when killing with grenades.
  • Fixed a bug where pressing the buy menu or Tab would result in keyboard input loss.
  • Reduced the number of custom commands processed when rewinding demos, reducing rewind time by 80%.
  • Console now includes information for experienced players to diagnose performance issues, including brief descriptions of very long frames and a match summary.

Additionally, on April 26th, Valve released a major update, replacing Overpass with Dust 2 in the competitive map pool. This patch also brought back the ability to shoot left-handed and added the “Patrol” mode.
