Riot Games will conduct a partial rework of Corki in League of Legends

Riot Games has announced the upcoming overhaul of Corki in patch 14.10 for League of Legends. Game designer David “Phreak” Turley shared this information in a YouTube video.

The aim of the changes is to return the champion to the role of marksman, rather than his current role as a mage in the mid lane. Details of the changes have not been disclosed yet, but it is known that Corki will lose scaling from ability power and his passive skill. These adjustments are intended to make Corki less popular in the professional scene and to reignite interest in him in ranked matches.

The upcoming changes include:

  • Returning pure damage to his passive ability instead of magic damage.
  • Strengthening Q and W, while reducing damage on E but increasing penetration.
  • The ultimate will deal physical damage, and charges will be restored through auto-attacks on champions. Scaling from ability power will also be removed from R.

The updated version of Corki will be available on the test server after May 1, coinciding with the release of patch 14.9. In the main client, the champion will be available after the release of update 14.10, scheduled for May 15.
