As the release of the Silent Hill 2 remake approaches, the Bloober Team asserts that they are "very confident" in the final version of the game

In their annual report, the studio team expressed confidence in the final outcome.

“We openly discuss this both internally and externally – it’s a key indicator of our efforts,” the report emphasized.

The Silent Hill 2 remake has sparked much debate since its announcement, and the second trailer, released in January 2024 and focusing on combat, hasn’t changed the situation.

This trailer has stirred mixed feelings and currently has only 51% likes on YouTube.

The following month, Bloober Team president Piotr Babieno stated that the trailer “doesn’t capture the essence of the game,” noting that the marketing aspect lies with Konami.

“It doesn’t align with what it used to be or what we’re creating now,” Babieno remarked. “We aim to fully convey the romantic vision of the game that emerged 22 years ago.

“We’re confident that when players see the actual gameplay, their perspective will change.”

A recent screenshot added to the game’s SteamDB page shows that Bloober Team has given its main character a younger appearance.
