On the night of November 20, Valve introduced the 7.37e update for Dota 2. The patch focuses on balancing the game by nerfing the strongest meta heroes and adjusting items.
Key Changes
- Khanda is now 100 gold cheaper due to a recipe cost reduction, but its effectiveness has been decreased: spell damage has been reduced from 75% to 60%.
- Luna, a hero who heavily relied on Khanda, received significant nerfs:
- Lunar Blessing now grants less bonus night vision (from 400+20 per level to 250+25 per level).
- Level 10 Talent: Lunar Glaive damage reduction decreased from 8% to 5%.
- Level 15 Talent: “+80 Lucent Beam Damage” replaced with “+1 Glaive for Lunar Orbit”.
- Level 20 Talent: “2 Glaives from Lunar Beam” replaced with “+110 Lucent Beam Damage”.
- Other meta heroes, including Medusa, Shadow Fiend, and Earth Spirit, were also nerfed.
Ongoing Balance Efforts
Valve continues to adjust the meta by weakening popular heroes and strengthening underused ones. The full list of changes is available in the official patch notes.
This update maintains player engagement by ensuring the game remains dynamic and diverse.
