Valve has released a new update for Counter-Strike 2, aimed at strengthening the CT side. The full list of changes is available on the game’s official website.
The most notable change is the nerf to the MP9, one of the most popular submachine guns in competitive play. The weapon now has increased recoil and reduced accuracy while jumping, decreasing its effectiveness in aggressive plays.
Additionally, CTs will now receive an extra $50 per enemy kill (teamwide) each round, improving their overall economy. The incendiary grenade has also been buffed — flames now spread faster across surfaces, enhancing area control.
Other important changes include:
- Overpass replaces Anubis in both matchmaking and the professional map pool;
- The launch of Premier Season 3;
- A new item protection system to guard against scammers.
The update is designed to refine the game’s meta and give the CT side more strategic depth across all levels of play.
