Games come alive, and the fun never ends!

Two Ubisoft N64 platformers are joining Switch Online’s Nintendo Classics lineup

Rayman 2: The Great Escape and Tonic Trouble — both 3D platformers developed and published by Ubisoft — will be added to the Nintendo 64 app on Switch Online on December 17.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape The story begins with Rayman imprisoned on a pirate prison ship. After escaping his cell, he must defeat Admiral Razorbeard and his army of evil robot pirates to restore peace to the Glade of Dreams. There are 1,000 Yellow Lums scattered across the world — collecting them reveals extra lore and unlocks previously blocked areas, much like the musical notes in Banjo-Kazooie.

Tonic Trouble Actually Ubisoft’s very first 3D platformer, but heavily delayed and released around the same time as Rayman 2. You play as Ed, an alien janitor on a spaceship who accidentally drops a magic potion down a garbage chute. The potion lands on Earth and brings everything it touches to life. Ed has to travel to Earth and fix the chaos using gadgets like a peashooter, diving helmet, and pogo stick.

With these additions, the Western Nintendo 64 library on Switch Online will reach 42 titles. Earlier this year the service also received Ridge Racer 64, Killer Instinct Gold, and Forsaken 64.

NES, SNES, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color games are included with the standard Switch Online subscription (£3.49/€3.99/$3.99 per month, £6.99/€7.99/$7.99 for 3 months, or £17.99/€19.99/$19.99 per year).

Access to Nintendo 64, Game Boy Advance, and Sega Mega Drive/Genesis games requires the Expansion Pack add-on, priced at $49.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 per year.
