The Director of Esports and Operations for Team Falcons, Grant Russo, commented on the temporary signing of Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev to the CS 2 roster. According to him, this will allow them to gain extra time while the organization decides on a permanent lineup.
“Without a doubt, many are thrilled that s1mple has joined us. I’m glad that we were able to make this happen. To clarify the situation: as stated in the announcement, this is a one-month lease for participation in the BLAST Showdown. This gives us flexibility in deciding on a permanent lineup that will compete in EPL, IEM Dallas, and other tournaments. At the same time, it gives us an excellent chance to win at BLAST Showdown,” commented Russo.
S1mple is under contract with NAVI. He will return to the competitive scene after a prolonged break of almost four months. The esports athlete has not participated in CS 2 tournaments yet.
