The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Set to Be Officially Revealed Today

After months of speculation and leaked content, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is finally getting its official unveiling today, April 22. The highly anticipated remake of the classic 2006 RPG by Bethesda Game Studios is reportedly being rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5.

The official reveal is expected to take place at the following times:

  • 8 AM PT
  • 11 AM ET
  • 4 PM BST
  • 12 AM JST (April 23)

Fans can tune in via Bethesda’s official YouTube and Twitch channels, or watch the live stream embedded on the game’s announcement page. Based on past rumors, there’s also speculation that the game could launch on the same day as its reveal.

Leaked screenshots and promotional art surfaced last week, comparing the remaster’s visuals to the original. These images spread quickly online following a leak from a Virtuos website, one of the studios involved in the remake’s development.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is set to release on PC, Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass), and PlayStation 5. The project is a collaboration between Bethesda Dallas, Bethesda Rockville, and Virtuos, a major studio known for its work on AAA titles and platform conversions.

In addition to the standard version, a Deluxe Edition is reportedly on the way, featuring bonus content such as exclusive weapons and the return of horse armor—a playful nod to the original game’s famously memed DLC.
