The first map lasted 76 minutes, with Ilya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk recording an impressive 1177 gold per minute and attempting a throne-breaking backdoor. After the map victory, Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf literally collapsed on the table from exhaustion.
For their performance, Team Spirit will earn 1.8% of the TI14 prize pool, just over $44K at the time of publication. This amount will increase after the compendium sales close. The same share will go to Team Liquid and Aurora, who have also been eliminated.

Despite the result, Spirit remained the most popular team, widely predicted to reach the playoffs undefeated. Among those who made predictions were dyrachyo, Topson, TORONTOTOKYO, and other pro players.
