Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev has temporarily joined FaZe Clan as an AWPer for their Counter-Strike 2 roster. His debut with the team is set for IEM Dallas 2025, which will run in the U.S. from May 19 to 25. He will also compete at the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.

The Ukrainian star replaces Helvijs “broky” Saugis, who was benched on May 5. It’s currently unknown where the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 champion will continue his career.
s1mple reunites with Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski, with whom he reached the semifinals of MLG Major Columbus 2016 while playing for Team Liquid.
Kostyliev has been inactive since October 2023, when he stepped down from NAVI after seven years. During his inactive period, he stood in for Team Falcons, but without notable success.
Current FaZe Clan lineup:
- Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev (stand-in)
- Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski
- Håvard “rain” Nygaard
- David “frozen” Čerňanský
- Finn “karrigan” Andersen
