Team Falcons‘ stand-in, Alexander “s1mple” Kostylev, expressed his disappointment with playing CS 2 in the online format. The esports player criticized the input lag during his personal stream.
“Guys, I have a new team. I need to learn smokes. I feel like a cursed burden. <…> What the heck is this, damn it. Guys, I really want to play on LAN. I curse this online. With such terrible hit registration, oh my god. With these cursed input lags, as if hackers broke the whole damn system.”

On February 19, Kostylev returned to active competition after a hiatus since October 2023. The sniper joined Team Falcons on a rental basis, replacing Muhammad “BOROS” Malkhaz. According to NAVI management’s statement, the collaboration between the clubs is planned for one month.
The BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2024 will be s1mple’s debut tournament with Falcons, taking place from March 6 to 10 in an online format. Participants will compete for a prize pool of $135,000 and two slots in the spring finals. For Kostylev, this marks his first CS 2 tournament in his career.
