Roblox CEO Dave Baszucki has stated that while the company is doing everything possible to protect users, parents who are concerned about safety issues should simply not allow their children to use Roblox.
The hugely popular platform, known for its user-generated content and young audience, has faced criticism over safeguarding concerns. In response, Roblox has introduced stricter guidelines for users under 13, enhanced parental controls, and chat restrictions for younger players.
Baszucki emphasized that the company treats any safety incident as unacceptable and actively monitors bullying, harassment, and inappropriate content. Roblox’s safety team also collaborates with law enforcement when necessary.
Recent updates allow parents to track their child’s screen time, manage interactions, and enforce daily limits. Additionally, game creators now have more options to tag content, ensuring a safer experience for younger users.
Despite these efforts, Baszucki reaffirmed that if parents remain uneasy, they should keep their children away from the platform altogether.
