On May 13, Riot Games rolled out Patch 10.09 for VALORANT, focusing heavily on agent balance. The main target of the update was Tejo, whose abilities have been significantly nerfed to reduce his dominance in matches.
Tejo: Major Adjustments
- Guided Salvo now costs 150 credits and provides only one charge at the start of each round. Aiming range was reduced from 55m to 45m, and mid-round recharge has been completely removed.
- Stealth Drone is now more expensive — 400 credits instead of 300.
- Special Delivery got cheaper — it now costs 200 credits instead of 300.
- The Armageddon ultimate now requires 9 points instead of 8.
Breach: Minor Nerf
- Fault Line now activates after 1.2 seconds instead of 1, giving opponents more time to react.
Swiftplay: More Ults
In the Swiftplay mode, Breach, Killjoy, and Viper now start rounds with 3 ultimate points instead of 2, allowing players to use their ultimates more frequently in short matches.
Kill Banner Fixes
Riot also fixed a bug where kill banners for some skins (including Oni, Evori Dreamwings, EX.O, Prelude to Chaos, Mystbloom, and others) appeared smaller than usual after the first kill.
