Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 4 Remake has sold over 10 million copies worldwide, making it the fastest-selling entry in the history of the Resident Evil franchise.
The game was released in March 2023, and it reached this milestone in just over two years — quicker than any other installment in the series.
This success highlights Capcom’s strategy of reimagining classic games for modern audiences. Previous remakes, including Resident Evil 2 and 3, have also performed well, with Resident Evil 2 Remake surpassing 15 million units sold.
Resident Evil 4 Remake not only reaffirmed the iconic status of the original game but also further cemented Capcom’s position as a leader in the survival horror genre.
