Microsoft is preparing to release a new Xbox Wireless Controller — Ghost Cipher Special Edition, according to dataminer billbil-kun. The controller will reportedly feature a transparent design, although the exact color is currently unknown. The official announcement and pre-orders are expected on September 24, with the device hitting stores on October 8, 2024, priced at $69.99 / £64.99 / €69.99.
This release continues Xbox’s line of transparent controllers, following last month’s launch of the Sky Cipher Special Edition, which featured a transparent blue design and silver interior components.
In addition to the new controller, Microsoft recently announced the release dates for the digital version of the Xbox Series X and two other models: a 1TB white console without a disc drive will launch on October 15, and a special edition 2TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive will go on sale under the name Galaxy Black.
