The Pokémon Company has unveiled new Ho-Oh EX and Lugia EX artwork in TCG Pocket, following the removal of earlier designs after Chinese artist @lanjiujiu alleged their Ho-Oh art had been used without permission. The company issued a public apology, withdrew the original cards, and temporarily replaced them with placeholders.
The updated cards retain similar backgrounds but feature altered Pokémon poses.
In other news, Pokémon Legends: Z-A launches October 16 on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Switch owners can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition via a paid upgrade pack, which offers a higher frame rate and sharper visuals. New gameplay footage and a fresh Pokémon reveal were showcased during last month’s Pokémon Presents.
