Indian company Nodwin Gaming has announced the acquisition of Ukrainian tournament operator StarLadder. The deal, valued at $5.5 million, could increase if certain performance targets are met, though specific details have not been disclosed.
Founder and CEO of StarLadder, Roman Romantsov, will retain his position and become a shareholder in Nodwin Gaming. He expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing their shared vision for developing esports events.
“Together with Nodwin Gaming, we will create unique experiences for fans, organizing unforgettable tournaments for various games across different regions,” said Romantsov.
Earlier, rumors suggested that StarLadder might be the organizer of the second CS2 Major, scheduled for December 2025. However, Valve has yet to confirm which company will be responsible for hosting the event.
StarLadder was founded in 2001 and has hosted numerous major tournaments for Dota 2 and CS, with most of them taking place in Kyiv.
