NiKo on the CS2 skin market crash: “I’ve never bought knives — I just use cheap skins”

Team Falcons player Nikola “NiKo” Kovač shared his thoughts on the recent situation with the CS2 skin market. The Bosnian rifler admitted he never invested in expensive cosmetics and continues to play with basic, low-cost skins.

“Honestly, I don’t even know what to say about it. I never traded or invested in skins. I basically have nothing — most of my skins aren’t even mine, just some cheap ones I could find. I’ve never bought knives, so I can’t really comment on that.

It’s shocking. I feel sorry for the people who lost a lot of money, but speaking for myself — I was never a fan of investing in the game. I never trusted it and didn’t want to buy anything expensive in CS. I just hope everyone will be fine and find a way out of this situation. Yeah, it sucks, but what can you do.”

Earlier this week, Valve introduced a new crafting system allowing players to create knives and gloves using five “Classified” items. The update triggered a massive market crash — skin prices collectively dropped by $1.8 billion within hours of the patch going live.
