Several journalists claim that Intergalactic, the new intellectual property from Naughty Dog, directed by The Last of Us’ Neil Druckmann, will not be shown at The Game Awards 2025 and will not be released in 2026. These claims were shared by Jeff Grubb, who received confirmation from Jason Schreier from Bloomberg.
If this is true, Naughty Dog will be going almost an entire console generation without an original title, only releasing remasters of The Last of Us on PS5. The PS6 is not expected until at least 2027.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a sci-fi adventure starring Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun a bounty hunter stuck on the isolated planet of Sempiria. Druckmann calls the new game an exploration of faith and religion – topics that Gabrielle recently said were complex and deeply personal to her.
