For their upcoming crime-action game Mafia: The Old Country, 2K Games and Hangar 13 have unveiled a new gameplay trailer that heavily emphasizes the combat mechanics.
Enzo Favara, a devoted enforcer working for Don Torrisi’s Sicilian criminal family, is the protagonist of the tale. Gunfights, fast-paced pursuits, and other violent aspects of mafia life will put Enzo in perilous situations throughout the game. He has pistols, shotguns, rifles, and explosives in his arsenal, which is supplied by the family’s reliable weapons dealer.
The developers stress, though, that the most hazardous interactions frequently take place up close. In Mafia: The Old Country, melee combat—particularly knife fighting—is heavily emphasized.
According to the trailer description, “On Sicily, it’s the knife that decides who lives to see the next sunrise.”
Numerous knife types are available in the game, each with unique traits like range, damage, and attack speed. This emphasizes how intense and intimate the encounters players will have in the bloody Sicilian mafia underworld will be.
