G2 Esports has confirmed that their star AWPer Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov will remain with the team at least until mid-2025, despite strong interest from Team Falcons. According to insider reports, Falcons were willing to offer up to $3 million for the transfer, but G2 refused to consider the deal.
In an interview, G2 CEO Alban Dechelotte emphasized that m0NESY remains “at the heart” of the organization’s CS project. Following the recent transfer of NiKo to Falcons, the team is focused on maintaining roster stability.
m0NESY’s current contract runs through the end of 2025, and G2 is already working on a new agreement to secure his future with the team.
In 2024, m0NESY played a key role in G2’s victories at IEM Dallas, BLAST Premier Fall Final, and the BLAST Premier World Final, cementing his reputation as one of the top players in the world.
