Captain of FaZe Clan, Finn “karrigan” Andersen, shared his thoughts ahead of the upcoming final against MOUZ at IEM Chengdu 2024. In an interview, he noted that fatigue has become a serious issue for the team due to regular CS 2 tournaments.
“It’s not just about the matchup, but also about our exhaustion. For the first time in my career, I feel such fatigue from travels and performances. FaZe plays twice as many LAN rounds as any other team. It’s madness. The outcome of the final depends on us,” commented karrigan.
He also expressed respect for the MOUZ team, acknowledging their consistency and desire to win. “MOUZ has always been a strong team. When frozen played for them, we didn’t give them chances at tournaments. This match won’t be easy. Our opponents want to prove that they can beat us. We need to focus and prepare,” added the FaZe Clan captain.
Additionally, Andersen emphasized the importance for FaZe Clan to claim the title in China to shake off the fatigue following the defeat in the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 grand final.
The final of IEM Chengdu 2024 is scheduled for April 14th. The winner will receive $100,000 and a slot at IEM Cologne 2024, while the runner-up will take home $42,000.
