Hideo Kojima unveils first poster for spy action game Physint

Hideo Kojima made headlines at the 10th anniversary event of Kojima Productions in Japan by revealing the first poster for his upcoming spy action title, Physint.

The image shows the protagonist in a trench coat, holding a weapon, though his face remains obscured. According to Kojima, casting announcements will come later, as the character’s final look hasn’t been locked in yet. For now, he’s focused on concepts, character design, and choosing the right actors.

Kojima also confirmed three stars joining the project: Charlie Fraser (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Don Lee (Eternals), and Minami Hamabe (Godzilla Minus One). Their roles remain undisclosed, but their involvement already hints at the scale and tone of the project.

Described as a “next-stage tactical spy action,” Physint carries the spirit of Metal Gear while leveraging newer technology than Kojima’s past games. It’s expected to arrive only after the studio completes work on its horror project OD.

There’s no release date yet, but Kojima suggested the launch is still “five to six years away,” pointing to a possible debut around 2030 — likely on the PlayStation 6.
