Rockstar is officially bringing GTA 5 back to the Game Pass library — and this time, it’s not just for consoles, but also for PC. For the first time ever, the GTA 5 Enhanced edition will be available through PC Game Pass starting April 15.
This is the recently released enhanced version that launched on PC on March 4, upgrading the game to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S standards. Players can expect sharper visuals, faster load times, new missions, and other features typically associated with “next-gen” editions.
GTA 5 has appeared in Game Pass before, but only for Xbox, and only briefly. Now, it returns to both platforms at the same time, with its PC debut. According to Xbox, all players will also get access to the newest update “Oscar Guzman Flies Again,” which introduces new missions, aircraft, and control of the McKenzie Field hangar in Grapeseed.
However, there are a few caveats: GTA Online players with existing accounts may face issues transferring their progress — a problem that Rockstar has yet to fully resolve. New players, however, won’t be affected.
The return of GTA 5 Enhanced is part of Game Pass’s major April lineup, which also includes South of Midnight, Commandos: Origins, and Blue Prince.
