Released Patch 1.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2

GSC Game World has released update 1.1 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, which includes important fixes and improvements. The key focus of this patch is the correction of the A-Life simulation system. NPCs no longer get stuck or appear behind the character Skif. These changes allow characters to move more naturally across the Zone and perform their daily tasks as originally intended by the developers.

Additionally, over 1,800 bugs have been fixed, including issues related to quests, textures, and game optimization. Here are some of the key fixes:

  • Fixed animation of item throwing by the Burer.
  • Improved behavior of NPCs shooting from cover.
  • Fixed a bug where NPCs would freeze after the emission ended.
  • The price of the “Golden Fish” artifact has been changed to 14,000 coupons.
  • The cooldown time for Snork abilities has been increased by 30%.
  • The damage of the Gauss gun has been increased.
  • Increased the difficulty of battles with Korshunov.
  • Increased rewards for completing certain quests.
  • Fixed an issue where players would die instantly with almost full radiation.
  • Fixed issues where Poltergeist and Burer did not deal damage to thrown objects.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 was released on November 20, 2024, for PC and Xbox Series X|S. As of the publication of this news, the game’s peak online in Steam reached 121,300 players. Also, Maxim Krippa, co-owner of GSC Game World, hinted at a potential PS5 release for the game in the future.
