GSC Game World has confirmed that the highly anticipated game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl will be released on PC and Xbox Series X|S on November 20, 2024. The release announcement was made on the studio’s official social media pages, accompanied by a new teaser shared on the GSC Game World YouTube channel. The studio also revealed that the game has reached “gold” status, meaning it is now ready for mass production.
“See you in the Zone, stalkers,” said GSC Game World in their message, highlighting the significance of the moment for all fans of the series.
The road to the release of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been long. The game was first announced in 2010 with a planned release for 2012, but the project was later paused. Development was resumed, but the release dates were repeatedly pushed back between 2018 and 2024.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will offer players a seamless open world of 64 km², featuring photorealistic graphics. The pre-order price in Europe is €59.99.
