Football Manager partners with FIFA to introduce official World Cup tournaments

The new partnership will officially integrate FIFA competitions into the Football Manager series — including the FIFA World Cup, FIFA Women’s World Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

Among the additions is the FIFA World Cup 26, which will appear in Football Manager 26 complete with official kits for all 48 national teams (once confirmed), authentic broadcast graphics, and tournament branding.

When Football Manager 26 launches on November 4, it will initially focus exclusively on club management, with international team management absent — except in the Mobile version on Netflix.

However, Sports Interactive has announced that a revamped International Management module will be released as a content update next year, ahead of the FIFA World Cup 26.

Football Manager 26 will be released in four editions:

  • The main PC version, available via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Windows Store, as well as on PC Game Pass.
  • Football Manager 26 Console, a streamlined version for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One, launching the same day and included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
  • Football Manager 26 Touch, optimized for touchscreen devices, arriving on Apple Arcade on November 4, with a Nintendo Switch version following on December 4.
  • Football Manager 26 Mobile, available exclusively to Netflix subscribers, which will build upon FM24 Mobile and remain the only edition not transitioning to the Unity engine.

Following the cancellation of Football Manager 25 earlier this year after multiple delays, this upcoming release represents a major new chapter for the franchise — marking the switch to the Unity engine, the official Premier League license, and the introduction of women’s football for the first time in series history.
