Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition Races from Arcades to Consoles This October

Originally released in 2022, Fast & Furious: Arcade marked the fifth arcade title inspired by the blockbuster movie franchise. Developed by Raw Thrills, the game delivered the high-octane racing action fans had come to expect. Now, publisher GameMill Entertainment has announced that a home console version is on the way.

Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition will launch on October 24 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch, bringing the arcade experience to living rooms. The game will support single-player as well as two-player split-screen multiplayer.

This release continues the collaboration between Raw Thrills and Cradle Games, who previously teamed up to bring the arcade brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Wrath of the Mutants to consoles last year.

GameMill describes the upcoming title as delivering “high-speed racing and pedal-to-the-metal action straight from the arcade to consoles and PC.” Players can get behind the wheel of iconic vehicles such as the Dodge Charger, Corvette Z06, Shelby GT500 KR, Ford GT, Bronco DR, and Jeep Wrangler, with customization options including unique color schemes.

Gamers can tackle each of the original arcade tracks solo or alongside a friend, navigating destructible environments, branching routes, and hidden shortcuts that reward bold driving. Missions include high-stakes scenarios like intercepting a missile in the Swiss Alps or bringing down a plane in downtown Hong Kong.

Raw Thrills, also known for developing the over-the-top racer Cruis’n Blast (a 2017 revival of the Cruis’n series), continues its legacy of action-packed arcade experiences. The studio was founded in 2001 by Eugene Jarvis, a legendary figure in the arcade scene, best known for his work on classic ’80s hits like Defender, Robotron 2084, and Smash TV.
