Starting today, Everdark Sovereigns — enhanced, reworked versions of the game’s original bosses — are being added to Elden Ring: Nightreign. The first to arrive is the Everdark version of Gaping Jaw, available until June 26.
To access these special encounters, players must first defeat the standard version of each boss. Each Everdark battle will be available for a limited time only. Sentient Pest and Darkdrift Knight will follow, with the rest of the Everdark bosses coming at a later date.
Players who defeat an Everdark Sovereign will earn a Sovereign Sigil as a reward.
This marks the second major update to the game. The first one, released during launch week, made solo play more accessible.
Despite mixed reactions from players, Elden Ring: Nightreign, which launched last month, is performing well. According to SteamDB, the game reached a peak of 313,593 concurrent players shortly after release — the second-highest peak ever for a FromSoftware title, behind the original Elden Ring’s 953,426.
