The Elden Ring community is once again proving its creativity — a new mod for the recent co-op title Elden Ring: Nightreign now allows players to experience the game in a two-player mode, without the need for a third participant.
The modification was created by renowned modder LukeYui, best known for the Seamless Co-op mod for the original Elden Ring. This new mod works independently from FromSoftware’s official servers and uses separate save files, ensuring it won’t interfere with the base game.
Elden Ring: Nightreign was originally designed for solo play or three-player co-op. However, many players requested a more intimate two-player option — and this fan-made mod delivers just that, launching shortly after the game’s release.
The mod is now available on Nexus Mods. While it’s still in early development, LukeYui promises future updates to improve stability and performance.
Meanwhile, Elden Ring: Nightreign is off to a strong start, with over 2 million copies sold on day one and a peak of 313,000 concurrent players on Steam.
