The “Lake House” DLC for Alan Wake 2 will launch on October 22, alongside the physical edition of the game, according to Australian retailer EB Games. The product listing on their website states that due to the global release of Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Edition, the disc DLC will not be available until midnight on October 22, 2024.
The release date is expected to be officially confirmed on Thursday when Alan Wake 2 is set to be featured in the latest Xbox Partner Preview livestream.
The DLC is likely to include references and locations from another Remedy franchise, Control. “Dive into a harrowing survival horror experience with the latest expansion for Alan Wake 2, set in an eerie new location on the shores of Cauldron Lake,” reads the official description for the expansion.
A catastrophic event has occurred at the Federal Bureau of Control’s research station, where reckless experiments have caused reality to collide with the Dark Place. This DLC unfolds parallel to the main game, putting players in the shoes of FBC agent Kiran Estevez, portrayed by Janina Gavankar.
Lake House will be available with the Expansion Pass for Alan Wake 2, which is included in both the digital Deluxe Edition and the upcoming physical Deluxe and Collector’s editions of the game. Players who own the Standard Edition of Alan Wake 2 will need to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition to access the DLC.
