The market for CS2 skins and in-game items experienced a dramatic decline, losing over $220 million in total capitalization within the last 24 hours. The figures were reported by analytics platform Pricempire.
According to the data, the market’s overall value fell by 4.36%, now estimated at $4.83 billion. The sharpest drops were seen in case prices, which decreased by between 8% and 48% depending on the type.
Even top-tier skins, usually considered stable assets in the trading community, saw noticeable price reductions. While the exact cause of the downturn remains unclear, the community is actively discussing potential factors — from recent game updates to large-scale sell-offs by investors.
