Activision has officially unveiled Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, a new first-person shooter set in the near future — the year 2035, to be exact. Despite the futuristic setting, the game will focus on political conspiracies and covert espionage, staying true to the Black Ops tradition.
The teaser trailer features familiar faces, including Frank Woods, a returning character from previous installments. The storyline once again centers on government betrayal and a fight against enemies within the system.
The game is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, both studios with extensive experience on the Black Ops series.
A full reveal is scheduled for June 9, right after the Xbox Games Showcase. Fans can expect to learn more about the campaign, multiplayer modes, and the returning Zombies mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch later in 2025 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, and will be available on day one via Game Pass.
