BLAST demands clarifications from Astralis regarding roster change for BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024

The tournament operator BLAST has requested additional explanations from the team Astralis concerning an emergency player replacement for the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 in CS 2. This information was reported by HLTV.

BLAST noted that the organization did not exercise due diligence in this situation and may impose penalties on the team. Astralis announced that player br0 will not be able to participate in the fall finals, but further details are not disclosed for privacy reasons. The team also added that they have never requested medical certificates from players, as they trust the clubs’ statements.

BLAST is awaiting further clarifications from Astralis. If necessary, the organization will consider the possibility of sanctions and fines.

Earlier, Astralis announced that br0 is “unable to play” in the BLAST Fall Final and requested the organizers to register Kasper “cadiaN” Møller, violating the roster lock. This move triggered a boycott from some league participants, as Snappi and apEX refused to attend the media day for the Fall Final, and karrigan and Twistzz also reported a possible protest.

The matches of the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 will take place from September 25 to 29 in Copenhagen, where teams will compete for a prize pool of $425,000 and a spot at the BLAST Premier World Final.
