Battlefield 6 sets franchise sales record with over 7 million copies sold in three days

According to the publisher, Battlefield 6 sold over 7 million copies in just three days, marking the strongest launch in the series’ history. Players completed more than 172 million matches during the opening weekend, while streaming platforms logged over 15 million hours watched.

We’re incredibly grateful to our players,” said Byron Beede, Battlefield’s general manager. “From concept to Battlefield Labs to the record-breaking Open Beta, we’ve been focused on community feedback. Together, we aimed to create the best Battlefield yet — and this is only the beginning. Our first content season launches in 12 days.”

Vince Zampella, executive vice president, also expressed his thanks: “We never take moments like this for granted. Huge appreciation to our global Battlefield teams and community for making this launch possible. There’s much more to come in the weeks ahead.”

During its debut weekend, Battlefield 6 achieved EA’s highest concurrent player count on Steam, peaking at 747,440 players — surpassing the previous record of 624,473 held by Apex Legends.

Developers have already begun teasing future updates, hinting at an innovative Battlefield-style Battle Royale mode, along with potential features like naval warfare, the return of a fan-favorite mini-helicopter, platoons, and more.
