Valve has announced updates to the official CS2 map pool, bringing Anubis back into rotation while Train has been removed. The information was shared via CS2’s official social media channels.
The first tournament expected to feature the updated map pool could be BLAST Bounty, which kicks off on January 13. However, tournament organizers have not yet officially confirmed the changes.
Anubis returns to the map pool after six months of absence. The map was removed from rotation in July 2025, when it was replaced by Overpass. Train, on the other hand, entered the map pool in early 2025, taking the spot previously occupied by Vertigo.
Many fans had anticipated that Valve would add Cache instead, especially after the company acquired the rights to the map from its creator FMPONE. Developers had also teased Cache’s potential return in recent social media posts.
