German esports organization ALTERNATE aTTaX has announced the closure of its Counter-Strike 2 division. The news was shared via the club’s official page on X (formerly Twitter).
According to the statement, the decision was made due to the lack of necessary conditions for building a sustainable long-term project. Despite the team’s passion for the game, both economic and competitive factors have made it unfeasible to continue in CS2.
“Despite our great passion for Counter-Strike, we had to acknowledge that the game currently does not provide the foundation—neither economically nor competitively—for building a sustainable, long-term project,” the club stated.
The roster consisted entirely of German players, all of whom are now free agents and open to joining new teams.
