Chinese gamers Lu “Somnus`M” Yao and Yang “Chalice” Shenyi discussed the buyout cost of Wang “Ame” Chunyu. According to them, Xtreme Gaming paid around a million dollars for the carry.
Somnus: “I don’t know the exact figure, but it’s reasonable.”
Chalice: “I don’t think it exceeds a million dollars.”
Somnus: “I’ve only heard an approximate amount.”
Chalice: “Same here. Not sure how accurate it is.”
Somnus: “Around a million.”
Chalice: “Less.”
Somnus: “Transfers for local players usually aren’t that expensive.”
Chalice: “They only recently added a buyout amount to Ame’s contract.”
Players’ dialogue
Ame returned to the scene in December 2023 after a hiatus since late 2022, remaining under contract with LGD Gaming. Joining Xtreme, he competed at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024, securing a 7-8th place finish.
