The classic RTS title developed by Eugen Systems and originally published by Ubisoft in September 2010 has made a comeback on Steam after being delisted in December 2015. At the time, Ubisoft removed the game due to expired licensing rights related to certain military assets.
Now relaunched as R.U.S.E. Definitive Edition, the game is being published directly by Eugen Systems, marking its first appearance on Steam in over ten years.
The updated version includes all previously released DLC at no additional cost and has been optimized to run smoothly on modern hardware, including full compatibility with the Steam Deck.
According to the developers, the return aims to reintroduce the game to both longtime fans and a new generation of players. The relaunch also comes with technical improvements to ensure stable performance on current systems.
Players who previously owned R.U.S.E. on Steam will retain full access and automatically receive all updates and DLC for free.
Eugen Systems says the goal of this re-release is to bring the strategy classic back into the spotlight and give new players a chance to experience a title that helped shape the studio’s future projects.
