Nintendo has released the final trailer for the upcoming animated film “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie,” a sequel to the 2023 adaptation. The trailer was showcased during a Nintendo Direct presentation.
Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri also introduced several new additions to the voice cast:
- Donald Glover (also known as Childish Gambino and the star of Atlanta) will voice the fan-favorite dinosaur Yoshi.
- Issa Rae (Insecure, Barbie) will lend her voice to Honey Queen, the ruler of the Honeyhive Galaxy.
- Luis Guzmán (Wednesday, Narcos) will voice the classic villain Wart, who first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2.
It was previously confirmed that Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) will voice Princess Rosalina, while Benny Safdie (Oppenheimer) will play Bowser Jr.
The main cast from the first film will also return, including Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser), and Keegan-Michael Key (Toad).
The worldwide theatrical premiere of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is scheduled for April 1, 2026.
