The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has officially confirmed that PUBG: Battlegrounds will be one of the featured titles at the Esports Nations Cup 2026. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 11 to November 15.
A total of 24 national teams will compete in the event. Twelve squads will receive direct invitations based on KRAFTON’s national team rankings, while ten additional spots will be decided through regional online qualifiers:
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) – 4 slots
- Americas – 2 slots
- Asia – 2 slots
- Southeast Asia & Oceania – 2 slots
Two more teams will secure participation via Wildcard invitations.
During the group stage, teams will be split into three groups of eight. Following the group matches, the top 16 teams will advance to the Grand Final.

The Grand Final will follow the “Smash Rule” format. To become champions, teams must first reach a designated points threshold and then secure at least one match victory. The final will feature a maximum of 10 matches.
PUBG: Battlegrounds becomes the tenth confirmed title for the inaugural Nations Cup. Previously announced games include Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, Valorant, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Rainbow Six Siege, Honor of Kings, Trackmania, and others.
