Cyberpunk 2077 has surpassed 35 million copies sold in five years, outperforming The Witcher 3 over the same timeframe

CD Projekt Red CFO Piotr Nielubowicz said “Cyberpunk is now our main revenue driver”, noting that recent sales jumped after the game launched on Switch 2 and Apple Silicon Macs. Phantom Liberty also saw increased sales following the base game’s addition to PS Plus.

Throughout 2024–2025 the studio continued improving the RPG, with major updates like Patch 2.3 introducing autopilot, taxi calls from the menu, and new vehicles.

The milestone helps set the stage for future projects: Cyberpunk 2 is now in pre-production, while CD Projekt expands its two core franchises. Around 560 developers are currently working on The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2.
