BLACKWOOD Announced: A Dark, Stylish Action Game Inspired by John Wick

AttritoM7 Productions has announced BLACKWOOD — a stylish action game featuring a deep narrative and an unusual blend of genres.

At the heart of the story is Anton Blackwood from Brooklyn, the owner of a modest DVD store. However, behind this mundane façade hides his true identity — a professional hitman.

Visually and thematically, BLACKWOOD draws inspiration from films like John Wick, combining intense gunfights with hand-to-hand combat, where special attention is given to animations and environmental interaction.

The developers promise an emotional and morally ambiguous storyline that explores the duality of its main character.

“Anton sees himself as the protagonist of his own story, yet he feels as if someone else is pulling the strings,” the creators note.

BLACKWOOD blends action gameplay with life simulation elements — during the day, Anton runs his business, interacts with people, and visits various locations, while at night he turns into a ruthless killer.

BLACKWOOD is set to release in Q3 2026 on PC (Steam).
