EA’s football series hasn’t always had the best track record on the Switch. Back in its FIFA days, the publisher was criticized for releasing nearly identical “legacy editions” each year, with only kits and rosters updated while features remained stripped down.
Things improved with the rebrand to EA Sports FC, as the Switch finally gained feature parity with other platforms in the series’ final years.
Now, with the arrival of the Switch 2, EA has the chance to start fresh and deliver the full experience to Nintendo players right from the console’s launch.
In today’s First Play video, we test the Switch 2 version of EA Sports FC 26 to see if it truly matches the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S editions — both in content and performance.
